Llyn Llech Owain Country Park.

The visitors centre stands
beside the lake, there are splendid
views from here.
During the bird nesting season,
it has live pictures from nest
sites within the Park which are transmitted to the
Visitors centre.
Snipe, Reed Bunting, Moorhen,
Little Grebe and Dabchick
regularly breed here.
Aberglasney
a garden lost in time.


Probably the
most fascinating garden restoration project
undertaken.
Abandoned
for 50 years the house and gardens overgrown
and crumbling, the restoration of Aberglasney has been
remarkable.

The most exciting estuary in Wales.
T he
National Wetland Centre Wales is situated 1 mile east of
Llanelli and 5 miles north west of Swansea. The centre
lies on the eastern side of Carmarthen bay facing the
Gower Peninsular.
To find us follow the duck signs off the M4 exiting at
junction 47 or 48 we are 1 mile east of Llanelli off the
A484 to Swansea. Nearest railway station is Llanelli,
bus routes run regularly from Llanelli to Llwynhendy a
short walk, bicycle or taxi journey away.
The centre is also on Celtic Trail Route 4
Carreg Cennen Castle.
There are few castles in Wales that can boast a more spectacular
location than Carreg Cennen.
The existing stronghold dating from around 1300 led a chequered life,
falling into Welsh and English hands during the troubled medieval
period.
